I've just updated to the latest version of Logic 10.4, which now sort of has some compatability with Garage Band for clips. I also wanted to mention that you can change the font size in Logic 10 now, there's a "larger fonts" option in the preferences panel. I've also got another update for macOS Sierra, but not an update to my MacBook Pro, since Apple chose this day to release their new MacBook Pros without updating the old ones like mine :( However, I'm not really mad because it's still faster than my Windows laptop (which is noticeably slower). I'm also happy that there's a new version of Boot Camp, which should fix some bugs from before. And if you don't know what Boot Camp is, it's a software tool from Apple to make it easy to install Windows on your Mac. I also installed a new chassis for my MacBook Pro. I was running the old one for over a year and I felt bad because it was falling apart, especially after going through a bit of an adventure with dropping the laptop by mistake several times. I've been using Logic Pro 10 since the previous update and I didn't notice any significant changes except for adding Garage Band compatibility by way of getting clips in and out of Logic Pro easier. This is the first version of Logic 10 for Mac that's compatible with the new Garage Band, which they released in April. I've had issues with all of my music programs lately, so today I downloaded a new copy of iTunes. This time, it wasn't sure where all my music was located so I've still got quite a bit to go through. From what I understand, Apple has decided to switch to their own music format, called "Apple Music", which isn't compatible with anything else right now. I'm gonna give it a try, but if it doesn't work out, I'm switching back to Youtube to listen to my music. Finally got the new version of Photoshop for Mac. It's been a long time coming and since PS 13 is there now, I just wish they'd release Lightroom 6 already! The best part about this update is that they've fixed all their prefs and UI problems! I know it's still not final because there's a few parts (like the app icon) that haven't been updated and an occasional crash happens every now and then. But this is definitely much better than before since the last update. The only other thing I wish apple would add is a dark mode for Safari. The black background should be there already, but it just doesn't look right. Also installed the new version of Pages and the old version of the Apple Mail app I've been using for years. Pages update was really impressive, but Apple Mail took too long to update and not much changed besides the new UI. The only other change I noticed is that it's finally compatible with all my iWork documents and stuff like that (previously, they weren't). I've also updated my drivers to make sure I get good performance out of my graphics card and peripherals.
